WORKSHOP ON SYMBOLIC REGRESSION AND MODELING

                          to be held as part of the

2011 Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO-2011)
                      July 12-16, Dublin, Ireland

                          Organized by ACM SIGEVO
20th International Conference on Genetic Algorithms (ICGA) and the
              16th Annual Genetic Programming Conference (GP)

    One Conference - Many Mini-Conferences 15 Program Tracks

PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR WORKSHOP: April 7th, 2011

The workshop will focus on advances in using symbolic modeling for real world
problems in industry, economics, finance and science. Papers are sought that
contribute to the state of the art in symbolic modeling, either through
innovative applications, theoretical work on issues of generalization, size
and comprehensibility of the results produced, and algorithmic improvements
to make the techniques faster, more reliable and generally better controlled.

The workshop will be a half-day, with 60% talks, 40% brainstorming/panel discussion.
Each presentation will be a half an hour. To present, please submit 8 page papers
in PDF format, using the ACM style at http://www.sigevo.org/gecco-2010/papers.html, to
steven[dot]gustafson[at]research[dot]ge[dot]com. Please use a subject line of
"GECCO 2011 SRM Workshop" in the submission. Accepted papers will be published in
the GECCO Workshop Proceedings.

The audience is expected to consist of people from industry and academia, not
necessarily limited to an audience with an evolutionary computation background.
