Call for Papers - WORKSHOP ON SYMBOLIC REGRESSION AND MODELING
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Call for Papers
WORKSHOP ON SYMBOLIC REGRESSION AND MODELING
to be held as part of the
2010 GENETIC AND EVOLUTIONARY COMPUTATION CONFERENCE (GECCO-2010)
Sponsored by ACM SIGEVO
http://www.sigevo.org/GECCO-2010
July 7-11, 2010 (Wednesday-Sunday)
Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Hotel
Portland, Oregon, USA
PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR WORKSHOP: March 25, 2010
Workshop Website: http://srm.gustafsonresearch.com
The workshop will focus on advances in using symbolic modeling for real world
problems in industry, economics, finance and science. Papers are sought that
contribute to the state of the art in symbolic modeling, either through
innovative applications, theoretical work on issues of generalization, size
and comprehensibility of the results produced, and algorithmic improvements
to make the techniques faster, more reliable and generally better controlled.
The workshop will be a half-day, with 60% talks, 40% brainstorming/panel discussion.
Each presentation will be a half an hour. To present, please submit 8 page papers
in PDF format, using the ACM style at http://www.sigevo.org/gecco-2010/papers.html, to
steven[dot]gustafson[at]research[dot]ge[dot]com. Please use a subject line of
"GECCO 2010 SRM Workshop" in the submission. Accepted papers will be published in
the GECCO Workshop Proceedings.
The audience is expected to consist of people from industry and academia, not
necessarily limited to an audience with an evolutionary computation background.
Submission: March 25, 2010
Notification: April 1, 2010
Camera-ready: April 13, 2010
Registration: April 19 2010
GECCO is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Genetic and Evolutionary Computation (SIGEVO). SIG
